Go Hog Wild With Fannin County Habitat “Here a pig, there a pig, everywhere a pig pig!” is being heard all over the county as Habitat volunteers announce their exciting new “PigOut” Campaign. Fannin County Habitat’s volunteer Development Chairperson Misty Condarco explains, “We want to make a ‘pig’ deal to help raise awareness for the need to build decent, affordable housing in our community. We are going to do this by having fun and getting creative with little piggies. We invite you to go hog wild with us by decorating your very own piggy bank. You can choose to keep it for a gift or enter our contests to have it displayed at one of our local host locations to raise votes. Prizes awarded each month and every one wins!” We invite individuals, businesses, clubs, schools, and churches to enter the fun. Challenge other groups for more creativity and votes. Host “PigOut” dinners and “PigOut” carwashes to earn more votes for your little piggy. You can also enter the contest by becoming a Sponsor for a group. Habitat also needs many volunteers to help distribute the information and pigs to host locations. We are also recruiting artists for customizations. Fannin County Habitat will be offering contest supplies, craft workshops, live auctions, online auctions, custom pigs by local artists, and a fun website to keep up with all the developments and contests. To find out more call our office today at 903-640-1439 for more info on how to help and have fun.
